Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice of Primigravida Women on Birth Preparedness

Background: Preparedness for birth involves advance planning and preparation delivery. Birth (BP) includes normal delivery, readiness to deal with complications, postnatal newborn care. Inadequate knowledge insufficient quick intervention in case of emergencies lead a delay receiving health services. This situation, wherein the potential poor maternal fetal outcomes is great, an especially worrying concern women childbearing age. Aim: study aimed assess BP knowledge, attitude, practice primigravida women. Methods: An exploratory descriptive cross-sectional was conducted. Two hundred constituted sample. A self-administered questionnaire used collect data. Results: Approximately two-thirds (65.0%) had moderate level BP, 96.5% favorable attitude toward BP. good observed 58.5% Univariate analyses revealed that significant strong association whereas showed but not statistically attitude. Conclusion: Primigravida practice, highly Hence, antenatal care clinics are vitally important pregnant because they can provide education. Governmental institutions their affiliates assigned sector should develop strategies improve at individual community levels.
